This 27 June - 1 July in Lancashire will be the danciest, funkiest, most joyfully defiant fracking action camp imaginable

Hello ,

There are less than 24hrs to go until the danciest, funkiest, most joyfully defiant fracking action camp imaginable begins... so grab your friends and get yourselves over to Block Around the Clock!

Block Around the Clock takes place 27 June - 1 July in Lancashire. The camp will happen around the corner from the Preston New Road fracking site near Blackpool, where fracking company Cuadrilla’s operations are running already many months behind schedule. Thanks to tireless and vigorous community resistance, the UK has been frack-free for 7 long years. We aim to keep it that way.
Block around the clock

Here’s all the lowdown on the anti-fracking hoedown.

Organised by grassroots network Reclaim the Power, the camp will feature workshops, talks, food, fun and frivolity, along with peacefully preventing fracking work from taking place through our presence. There will be roles and levels of activity and involvement to suit everyone.

Check out the Transport Guide and the website for how to get there. (And if you live in the north west of England, we may be able to get a minibus to your town - email us for details).

Fracking is a dirty, dangerous practice that spells climate disaster. But there is a real chance of winning this battle: public opinion is set against a practice that’s already been ditched in Scotland, Ireland and Wales. We just need to keep the pressure up. Every day that fracking is delayed counts.

We hope to see you there,

Sebastian and the UK team
