London passengers are facing misery this morning after the entire Jubilee Line was suspended, causing severe overcrowding on the Overground and other Tube lines. Bank station was also closed.

The Tube strikes due to take place this week have been called off by all three unions but more action has been announced for September 8 and 10. Unite and RMT unions, with the TSSA expected to follow suit imminently.

Neighbours in shock after children are stabbed and man, 79, dies in Bethnal Green

A little boy of two stabbed in the stomach was carried in the arms of a policeman to a waiting ambulance from his house where a pensioner thought to be his grandfather was fatally wounded and two other children were injured.
