Miss Bennett: Christmas at Pemberley

Austin Playhouse, one of the city's leading professional regional theaters, is presenting “Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley” this holiday season. In this charmingly imagined sequel to Jane Austen’s “Pride and Prejudice,” the overshadowed and bookish middle sister Mary has come into her own as a confident woman full of curiosity and wit. When the family reunites for Christmas, Mr. Darcy’s aristocratic but socially bumbling bookworm cousin turns up unexpectedly and sparks Mary’s hopes for independence, an intellectual match, and possibly even love. Obstacles abound, and for the first time, Mary must stand tall and become the heroine of her own story.

“Miss Bennet” has been declared a “gift to Jane Austen fans,” but first-timers will find much to love in this delightful holiday comedy. The show runs Dec. 1-23, 2017, with performances on Thursdays through Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sundays at 5 p.m.

Our friends at Austin Playhouse are kindly giving away a pair of tickets to see Miss Bennett: Christmas at Pemberley! To enter to win, hit the "reply" button before 7 p.m. CST today and tell us you'd love to go to the show! We'll choose the winner at random using Random.org.

We will contact the winner by email and announce the name of the winner on our Instagram feed.

And that's it from us! Hit reply if you have any questions or comments. There are real people who will write back. And forward this email to a friend who you think might be interested in subscribing!

All the best,
The Austinot Team
