TELL CONGRESS: End pay discrimination now >>

Tomorrow is Equal Pay Day. This day reflects the extra 100 days every year that a woman must work in order to earn as much as her male coworkers.

This is because, after decades of fighting for equality in the workforce, women still only make 79¢ to the dollar.

And yet in spite of this clear discrimination, Republicans in Congress continue to block critical legislation that would give women equal pay for equal work.

Join Democrats from across the country and let’s send a CLEAR message to Congressional Republicans: Enough is enough.

Friends, today we celebrate Equal Pay Day -- a landmark that serves as a reminder of the clear disadvantage women have in the workforce.

To this day, women still only earn 79¢ to the dollar.

And women do not make less money because they choose fields that are less lucrative or dedicate more time to their families -- simply put, they make less money because they are female.

Sign your name to tell Republicans: Enough is enough! Protect women’s fundamental rights by making fair pay the law of the land >>

Even in professions heavily dominated by women, men STILL make more than their female coworkers.

For example, while women make up over 70% of our nation’s middle school and elementary school teachers, they still bring home 13 cents less than male teachers.

Retail jobs are even worse, with women earning a whopping 30% less than men across the industry.[1]

And the truth is, wage discrimination is not just a women’s issue, it’s bad for American families. With 40% of American families relying on the mother as the primary breadwinner, these earnings could have been spent on health care, on dental care, on day care, and so many other basic family necessities.

So sign your name to join us and urge Congress to rectify this shameful problem by taking a stand for women’s rights today:

Thanks for stepping up,
