Urgent: One week left to provide tools to protect butterflies and moths

Butterfly Conservation

Help fund tools and training for our wonderful volunteers through our crowdfunder. We still have a long way to go to reach our target with just over one week left.

Our Conservation Day of Action is taking place on 10 March. We need your help to ensure we make the most of this opportunity to encourage new people to volunteer on our reserves.

We need your help to provide the tools and training volunteers need, not just on the Day of Action, but long into the future.

Our reserves offer safe havens for threatened butterflies and moths, but they need year round care to maintain the best conditions. Please donate today to provide vital training and equipment for the volunteers who put their free time and energy into maintaining these special places.

Your donation could:

  • Supply hand tools, gloves and goggles for volunteers clearing scrub on Eyarth Rocks reserve in North Wales for the Pearl-bordered Fritillary.
  • Repair fences and gates on our grazed reserves such as Magdalen Hill Down in Hampshire, allowing stock to graze the sites and create perfect conditions for the threatened Chalk Hill Blue.
  • Provide safety equipment and training for volunteers at our reserves all across the UK, in everything from first aid and tree safety surveying to using a chainsaw.

We are still a long way off our target please help by donating and sharing this crowdfunder with your friends and family. Forward to a friend
