Brandon T. Jackson: February 23-26

Brandon T. Jackson

On Oscars weekend, why watch movie stars on screen when you can see one up close? Brandon has proved himself as one of the most talented young comedic actors working today, appearing in everything from sitcoms (“Mr. Robinson” in 2015) to smash-hit big-screen comedies (“Tropic Thunder”) to reality shows (“Living With Funny”). The Detroit native can also bring it as a stand-up comedian, armed with tales from the inner city, the suburbs and Hollywood.

Brad Williams: March 2-5

Brad Williams

Next week we've got another DC Improv headlining debut coming your way. Brad has been in the stand-up game for a long time, wowing audiences with his anything goes attitude and stories of his life as a dwarf. You've seen him on Comedy Central and Showtime, and he had a role in the new Netflix movie "Mascots." Get on it ...

Jak Knight: March 3-4

Jak Knight

Another young stand-up star makes his DC Improv debut this March when Jak headlines our 60-seat lounge. The Seattle native has been getting notice for both his writing (on "Lucas Brothers Moving Company" and more) and his stand-up, appearing in the Oddball Comedy festival and opening for some big-time stars. He's got a stand-up special and an animated Netflix show in the works ... so catch him now, on his way up.

Guy Torry: March 9-12

Guy Torry

No one out-hustles Guy Torry. Starting out as a production assistant and open-miker in Los Angeles, he quickly rose through the ranks to become a television writer and headliner. His influential “Phat Tuesdays” showcase became a hot spot for top-level comedic talent, and his love and knowledge of sports has made him a favorite performer of many world-class athletes.

Next Wave: Sean Patton: March 10-11

Sean Patton

The Next Wave series features comics recommended to you by some of our favorite headliners. We've already seen performers who got the thumbs up from Dave Attell, John Oliver and Tony Rock. Now the choice of Ari Shaffir is on deck!

Sean Patton is a fantastic stand-up and storyteller. The New Orleans native has been seen on “Maron,” “Inside Amy Schumer,” and Comedy Central’s storytelling show “This is Not Happening.” In fact, Ari (the host and creator of TINH) called Sean’s “cumin” story the best one of season 2.

Medium Cindy Kaza: March 15

Cindy Kaza

Looking to try something different? Cindy is an evidential medium, which means she brings forth specific information about people on the other side; once she establishes a connection, she conveys messages from the departed. This is her fourth appearance at the Improv, and as Cindy herself will tell you, both skeptics and believers are welcome. It's definitely cool to watch.

DeRay Davis: June 29-July 2

DeRay Davis

Last time he was in town, DeRay set the DC Improv record for number of shows in one week. The guy is a beast, putting on some of the best live performances we've seen at the club. He's a definite presence in Hollywood -- you've seen him in “21 Jump Street,” “Jumping the Broom” and the MTV networks -- but you REALLY need to see him on stage.
