100 citizens sought to form new work at the Nasher Museum

We are currently looking for Durham-based individuals to part-take in PARLIAMENT a work by internationally renowned choreographer and artist Michael Kliën. Participants can be of any age (+18), size, background and skillset. They are NOT expected to have any performance experience. PARLIAMENT will be situated at the Nasher Museum from 7-11th of March 2018. During this timeframe participants, will be required to commit at least one evening and one full afternoon to this process. The process, guided by the artist and his team offers participants strong experiences and creative encounters. PARLIAMENT has been conceived as a necessary response to the current situation. No monies (fees, expenses, etc.) are exchanged in the process. No entry fees will be charged to this work and the artist will receive no fee.

Choreographer Tony Johnson's final work in Durham, reflecting on the lives of people we encounter on the streets everyday; our friends that are poor, homeless, and living marginal lives among us. It questions our own journey and how we hide behind our own faces in our lives, and challenges us of who we are as Neighbors in our community.
