Flightglobal’s Fleets data shows that over the course of 2015 there were 2,684 commercial aircraft ordered, whilst airlines took delivery of more than 1,750 aircraft.

Fast-growing Indian low-cost carrier Indigo placed the largest order, after firming its commitment for 250 A320neo jets, with the Central European operator Wizz Air in second place, ordering 110 A320neos. AerCap’s order for 100 737 Max 8s made it the third largest order commitment during 2015.
