This fascinating exhibition explores the Duke of Wellington’s extraordinary life as a soldier and statesman and ranges from the iconic 1812 portrait by Goya through to a daguerreotype photograph by Antoine Claudet taken on Wellington’s 75th birthday in 1844.

Wellington Funeral Panorama Viewing 

To mark the bicentenary of the Battle of Waterloo, join us for a viewing of The Funeral Procession of Arthur, Duke of Wellington by Henry Alken and George Augustus Sala. The panorama, measuring 20.6 meters (67 feet), will be displayed in its entirety in the Victorian Galleries (Room 22) for one hour only between 10.00-11.00 on 18 June 2015.
