Welcome to PRWeek's Weekender newsletter, which catches you up on everything you missed during the week, gives you a few long reads for the weekend, and highlights the biggest trends in the communications industry over the past seven days. We hope you enjoy these curated stories and your weekend!

News broke on Wednesday afternoon that Paris-based Publicis Groupe is planning a total restructuring of its business operations to create four “solutions hubs.” Publicis Communications will contain PR flagship MSLGroup, alongside Publicis Media, Publicis Sapient, and Publicis Healthcare.

“The mission is to simplify the way we access the range of solutions without duplication and delay to accelerate group growth and development,” Publicis CEO Maurice Levy said in the announcement. The planned restructuring is a shift for the company, but hardly the only notable change it has made in the past few years.

Earlier in the week, PRWeek revealed the winners of its annual Best Places to Work, which recognizes those firms judged to be the best workplaces in the US PR industry in four categories: large, mid-sized, small, and in-house.
