US Weekender | September 17th 2016

Welcome to PRWeek's Weekender newsletter, which catches you up on everything you missed during the week, gives you a few long reads for the weekend, and highlights trends in the communications industry over the past seven days.

The Clinton Foundation was ready for most of what critics threw at it this election cycle. In the months before the 2016 presidential campaign began in earnest, the organization restructured its communications and marketing divisions to embrace digital media and respond to accusations more nimbly, its chief communications officer told PRWeek.

This week was also rife with agency business deals. On Tuesday, Weber Shandwick acquired Flipside, a U.K-based mobile and digital firm. On this side of the pond, Bully Pulpit Interactive bought The Incite Agency, bringing together former Obama campaign alumni.
