The Brand Film Festival New York is set for May 4 at the Paley Center. Go here to buy tickets.

The PR industry said goodbye to one of its founding fathers this week. Al Golin, the driving force for decades behind the agency with his name over its door, died last Saturday at the age of 87. Industry luminaries and even the top executive at McDonald’s, the firm’s biggest client for 60 years, paid tribute.

This week also saw United Airlines and its CEO, Oscar Munoz, embroiled in crisis over its forced removal of passenger David Dao last Sunday. The social-media-driven outrage over the incident has put Munoz on the hot seat and left the airline struggling to respond on both sides of the Pacific Ocean.
