Bell Pottinger has been in hot water for weeks, but the firm dominated the news cycle this week after it was thrown out of the U.K.’s PRCA on Monday and its CEO resigned. Bell Pottinger is expected to be placed into administration (a process similar to Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the U.S.) on Monday.

Bell Pottinger’s downfall did rally most PR pros around the world in a unified rebuke, among them the U.S. PR Council, which endorsed the PRCA’s decision to oust Bell Pottinger and warned that U.S.-based offenders would face a similar outcome.

In other news, Salesforce consolidated its corporate communications work with Zeno Group, and PR legend Harold Burson is about to release one of the most essential PR reads of the year.
