Kevin from our Money Sorting Squad answers: Here’s the beef from “You can only drive an untaxed vehicle on a public road if you’re driving it to or from a licensed station for a pre-arranged MOT, vehicle identity check, or weight or emissions test.” And just to add: you must be able to prove you’re driving to the MOT centre for a booked appointment if challenged. And if you’re putting your car back on the road, you need to tax it immediately, which you can do via the website.
