“I am moving from Hampshire to Devon and want to take my existing Eon energy tariff with me. Can I do this?”

Brian Lowing, via email

Kevin from our Money Sorting Squad answers: From my reading of Eon’s T&Cs, it looks like you could only take your existing tariff with you if your new home is in the same electricity distribution area as your old one. However, it’s worth confirming by checking a recent bill or calling them on 0345 303 3020. If you have to ‘inherit’ another tariff at the new property you will be able to switch within 17 days.
