Mark from our Money Sorting Squad answers: If you have paid off your credit card balance in full and no longer need to use the card, it’s generally a good idea to cancel it. Having too much credit available to you can be viewed negatively by some lenders, and closing down unused credit accounts can be beneficial to your credit rating.
