“I was recently delayed for three and a half hours on a flight back from Barcelona. Am I entitled to compensation?”

Jennie Adams, via email

Anita from our Money Sorting Squad answers: So long as your flight wasn’t delayed due to ‘extraordinary’ circumstances, EU law states that if you were travelling from a European airport or with an EU airline, you may be entitled to compensation of between €250 and €600 if your flight arrived at your destination more than three hours late. The exact amount you are entitled to will depend on how far you were travelling.
