The firm projects that one-third of smartphones shipped worldwide in 2020 will support machine learning and other AI capabilities thanks to new chipsets. Counterpoint also reported that AI-dependent apps will improve as the processing power of smartphone CPUs bulks up.

Teen Time: Teens are making a larger proportion of their purchases online compared with the general population, new data from Current reveals. The firm reports that US teens made nearly 18% of their purchases digitally, while the overall population made 8.6% of retail purchases online. Current also found that digital content like video games and streaming services made up 54% of teens' online spending.
