Commission in bid to lead ‘tough’ Brexit talks with UK

European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker is ready to take a “tough stance” with the UK. Rallying behind its boss, the executive’s legal arm confirmed its support for Juncker taking charge of the negotiatians, EurActiv.com has learnt.

English will remain an official language of the EU

English will indeed stay an official language of the European Union when the UK leaves the bloc, according to the Commission’s Representation in Ireland, refuting the claims of a senior MEP.
 

Brexit will end EU investment in the UK

A major contributor to the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI) and the main beneficiary of the Juncker Plan, a post-Brexit United Kingdom will have to learn to live without EU investment. EurActiv France reports.
