The strongest bite of any cat on the planet.

You’ll know the jaguar as a symbol of power in traditional culture. These formidable cats stalk dense rainforests, and can even tackle a deadly caiman. It's no wonder they are revered in countless indigenous myths and legends. You can only marvel at their muscular grace and beauty.
But some criminals prefer profit to beauty.
The jaguar’s home in the Chocó rainforest is under constant assault from illegal logging and mining - a staggering 90% is already lost. In addition to destroying their habitat, some criminal loggers are simply shooting jaguars on sight for their skins.
Now, only an estimated 30-50 remain in Ecuador’s Chocó rainforest. FFI is getting rangers into place to protect their habitat both here and in Belize. Through your support, local rangers are standing up to wildlife crime - stopping the killing and giving more jaguars a chance to live and breed in peace.
The jaguar has been central to the mythology of the Americas for centuries. It's vital they are part of its future too – which is exactly what your help can achieve.

All your support improves jaguars' chances of survival. If everyone reading this donates at least £3, you will help to stop the loggers. 100% of your donation goes to this project in urgent need.
