This week: February's Community Saturday at Gendered Intelligence

Community Saturdays at Gendered Intelligence
Coming up this week: February's
Community Saturday
Youth Services
This month's Community Saturday is only a few days away!

It will be the second time our Under 12 group meets.

In our afternoon youth session for 11-24 year olds, we will be celebrating LGBT History Month.

Our group for parents and carers will now take place near the Underground Youth Centre, at the Ringcross Community Centre which is just 2 minutes' walk from the youth group.
Under 12s
Gendered Intelligence has launched a dedicated group for trans and questioning young people aged 8 to 11. Parents and carers are welcome to stay in the building during the session.

Group for Parents and Carers
We are excited that our parents and carers' group has a new home close to the Underground Youth Centre. The Ringcross Community Centre is only two minutes' walk from our youth group venue.

Last month there was unfortunately an issue with double booking, but we've been reassured that the space is definitely reserved for us this time.

The group for parents and carers starts half and hour after and ends half an hour before the youth group so you will have time to collect your young person if necessary.

Information about the group

Date: Saturday, 24th of February 2018

Time: 2.30pm-5.30pm

Location : Ringcross Community Centre
Who can come to our Community Saturdays?

No matter how you identify, Gendered Intelligence's trans youth groups are open to all young trans people between 8 - 24 years (if you have a trans child who is under 8, please contact us for more information and support) - whether you're brand new to identifying as trans, or gender variant, still questioning your identity, or if you consider yourself to be post-transition or as having a trans history.

We strive to be fully inclusive of individuals who identify as non-binary, as well as male or female.

You do not have to be accompanied by a parent or carer, however if you are under 18, a youth worker will need to take the contact details of a next of kin in case of emergencies. There is no need to register in advance - just turn up on the day.

Siblings of young trans people who are between 8 - 24 are also welcome to these sessions.

Parents/carers of young trans, gender variant and questioning young people are welcome to come along to Saturday sessions. You do not have to be accompanied by a young person to attend.

If you would like to return to the group after your first session, we would ask you to become a parent/carer member
