Turn2us meets with energy sector to tackle fuel poverty

Turn2us recently met with representatives from a wide range of energy companies and consumer organisations as part of our #NoColdHomes campaign. We discussed how to help economically vulnerable people who are struggling to pay their energy bills this winter.

Hospitality Action Winter Fuel Grants

As the cold weather sets in, Hospitality Action is offering support to hospitality staff or retirees on low incomes who are worried about their heating bills. The trade charity's Winter Fuel Grants programme provides 100 help towards energy costs.

Figures reveal shocking levels of winter deaths

The Office of National Statistics (ONS) has revealed that there were 24,300 reported incidents last winter, with those aged 64 and below affected more than in previous years. The report also showed that respiratory diseases were the underlying cause of death in more than a third of cases.

Autumn Statement: the key changes

New Turn2us funding project 

As part of a new project launching next year, we are looking to work with organisations who support people who have experienced a sudden change in their situation, and as a, result are unable to cope financially.

If you work for a charity or an organisation that regularly helps people in this type of situation who could benefit from a one-off grant, and are interested in collaborating with us, please get in touch.
