Constant criticism

Strange new scientific breakthrough causes even women who are NOT
attracted to you to now eagerly crave you:

Hey Guys—

Let us talk about criticism, the good kind, not the bad kind. The

bad kind of criticism is usually the stuff you hear from friends,
neighbors and relatives, jealous criticism to make them feel
superior to you, not to help you get better results.

That type of criticism has no place in your world, both coming from

yourself, and coming from other people.  In fact, it is usually a
good idea to remove such people from your life because they will
never contribute anything.

Intellectual criticism of ideas and things you hear, however, is a

different thing. It’s a more personal criticism, a quiet criticism
in your own mind, or a criticism with a trusted friend who will
turn over ideas with you.

The worst thing you can ever do is accept any idea, statement, or

pronouncement immediately, at face value even if (and especially if)
you agree with it.  Such seductive ideas can bypass the conscious
mind and get into regions of the brain where influence and persuasion
can never reach, such as the worldly religion of socialism.

You want to stop such ideas from penetrating into your brain, so

when you hear something, the first thing you should in your mind is
reject it.  That does not, of course, mean you reject it permanently.
It means you temporarily reject it so you can turn it over with a
more dispassionate view, asking critical questions to see if the
idea can withstand them, especially questions based on past
historical events.

For example, one idea I embrace is the idea of “everything is your

fault.”  I loved it from the first time I heard it, but still, on
occasion, I sit down to criticize it, to dissemble it, to refine it,
to see if there are occasions where it does not apply.  To me,
personally, that philosophy has withstood the test of time and my
personal criticism.

On the other hand, I used to embrace the idea of “professionalism,”

that was anti-selling, i.e. a good product should sell itself.  But
I subject that idea to my own criticism and to the criticism of the
real world, and abandoned it because I discovered it to be bankrupt,
and capable of bankrupting me.

In our realm of attraction, there is the seductive idea of “women

like nice guys.”  It sounds true, but does not hold up to deeper
criticism nor experience in the real world.  The better idea, the
one that does withstand criticism is “women like men who make them
feel chemistry.”

So, whenever you hear something new, subject it to rigorous

intellectual criticism, especially if it sounds good when you hear
it.  Often the idea will turn out to withstand criticism, and will
stand on its own merits.  More often, criticism leads to the
refinement of the idea, producing one that gives much better results
than the original wording.  And sometimes the idea fails criticism
and must be discarded.

All of this is called “thinking,” and is something few people choose

to do, which is why most people get such miserable results in life.
The man who applies intellectual criticism for the purpose of
refinement and discovery of what really works instead of what should
work is the man who lives the life others aspire to but refuse to
think in order to get.
