Faces in the clouds

Need to easily & quickly lose fat so you'll have the 'golden ratio'
women desire in a man? >> The "Golden Ratio" Women Notice

Hey Guys—

Saturday late night, I drank some fine bourbon, sat on my balcony

around 2 am and watched the clouds go by.  The wind was blowing
them by fast, leading to rapid changes in shapes and sizes.

As some of you know, I am a huge Iron Maiden fan.  One of their

most underrated albums was released in the mid 90’s, with the
title “Brave New World.”  The cover art is fantastic, with Eddie’s
face shown in the clouds above a futuristic London.

Not only can you see Eddie’s face, you can see myriad other faces

in the clouds, and that was my experience on Saturday.  Not only
did I see Eddie, I also saw the White Walkers from Game of Thrones,
a face that looked like Santa Claus, and one that looked like
Freewheelin’ Franklin from the Fabulous Furry Phreak Brothers
(look it up, all you young ‘uns).

My personal opinion is this was aided by excellent bourbon

(Willet Family Reserve 9 year and 11 year), and had I been
drinking something nasty (like Jim Beam White Label) I would
have seen particularly angry faces. But I digress.

There were, of course, no faces in the clouds, just random shapes.

But humans tend to see faces in inanimate objects, and there is
a term for this: pareidolia-- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareidolia

In layman’s terms, I saw what I wanted to see, and when I looked

for Santa Claus, I saw Santa Claus.  When I looked for Eddie from
Iron Maiden, I saw Eddie.  When I looked for the cover of Brave
New World, I saw the cover from Brave New World.

Late at night, drinking good bourbon from my balcony in Austin,

this is mere amusement, fun and games on a weekend.  But many,
many people do a similar thing in areas that are not fun and
games, they are dangerous.

They meet a hot woman who gives off all kinds of warning signs

that she’s crazy, but they see what they want to see.  They hear
a guy who proclaims himself an economic expert despite a
preponderance of historical evidence repudiating everything he
says, and they see what they want to see. They go to a network
marketing meeting, hear an experienced speaker, and see what
they want to see.

Unfortunately, when you act on what you want to see, you get

results based on what you didn’t want to see.  That’s why you
must always look deeper, especially with your “third eye” (your
thinking mind, one most people keep closed) so you can see
what’s really there, not really what you want to see.

Faces in the clouds are, after all, mere illusions, changing in

an instant.  Don’t base any behavior on an illusion in your mind,
base it on the evidence in front of you.  Your mind plays tricks
on you, but reality never lies.  It only tells the brutal truth,
and that brutal truth is what set’s you free.

On with the fun…
