How To Give It To Her
Hey Guys—
Recently I have been reading Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn’s
master work,
the Gulag Archipelago, a
book every senior in high school should
read
before they are allowed to graduate.
It details not just the horrors, but the madness of the
Soviet
labor camp system Solzhenitsyn experienced, a madness
that both
preceded and far outlived
the Nazi death camps.

To lend perspective to it, the Nazi camp system, once
completed,
operated for 3 years.
The Soviet labor camp system, which really
was a
death camp system since only 10% of the prisoners survived,
lasted 74 years.
Solzhenitsyn was a victim of that system, and the Gulag
Archipelago
is both an autobiography of
his 8 years in the Gulag, and history
of it,
a history the Western media and academia never truly
recognized, and has tried very hard to forget, a character
reflection on both of them.
In one of the early chapters, “First Cell, First
Love,” Solzhenitsyn
talks about running into
his first stool pigeon, an inmate informer
whose
job it was to pass along any information to the secret police.
His description is very interesting because he says,
“when I saw his
face, I recognized
immediately this was a person who would do me harm.
It was like a primal switch had been flipped in mind, and
throughout
my time in the Gulag, it
was flipped again and again. I was immediately
able to
recognize when someone was out to do me harm, and this switch
never failed me.”
This is something to pay attention to, even in a civilized
society
like we have. When you are in business, or sales,
or any environment
that involves personal
risk, that switch is at your disposal.
Some
people call it a gut feeling, but it is more than that— it is
your subconscious mind calling on hundreds of thousands
of years
of knowledge of human intentions. It can pick up
demeanor, energy,
facial expressions,
movement, and hundreds of other tiny items
that
warn you someone or something is dangerous.
This is something that should be paid attention to.
If, for example,
you meet a woman, and
something seems off, pay attention to it. If
a
friend introduces you to someone, and something feels off, pay
attention to it.
People who ignore this collective database of human
behavior do
so at their own
peril. No amount of political correctness, or
belief
that all humans are good will overcome how people really
behave. There are people in this world who wish to cause you
minor harm, and some who wish to cause you major harm
and we have
evolved to be able to
recognize it.
You will know when that switch is flipped, and I advise you
to
pay attention to it. While you will (most likely)
not be thrown
into an isolation cell for
days or beaten remorselessly, you
might experience financial
loss, loss of reputation, or emotional
trauma.
That switch has evolved for a reason, and it’s because we
live in a dangerous world…and yet again the powdered
poofters of
political correctness are
learning that.
