Hey Guys—

When I was a kid, one of my favorite songs that was all over the

radio at the time (circa 1979) was Good Ole Boys by Moe Bandy and
Joe Stampley.

It was a simple song, all about raising hell, having a good time,

and being totally unrepentant—my kind of song, and it still is.

If you haven’t heard it in awhile, you can enjoy it here, and no

doubt it will give you a good laugh:

Now, can you imagine one of today’s hipsters or poofters doing

anything described in the song?  Quite the contrary, they would
be highly offended by all the micro aggressions in the song,
seeking out safe places, and whining loudly about the violence
the song advocates.

Take, for example, the opening lyrics:

“Well, I've been kicked out of might near ever bar in town.

I've been locked up for drivn' 120 through town.
Been shot and cut with a knife... For messin' round with another
man's wife”

Oh Dear, we have an aggravated case of male aggressiveness… advocacy

of violence…perpetuating the war on women…abuse of a motor vehicle…
and offending a husband.

But, it gets even worse with the next round of lyrics:

“Threw my my boss out the window and got fired from my last job.

Hot wired a city truck and turned it over in the Mayor's yard.
Well... I beat my brother-in law half to death... I lost 20 bucks
on his football bet.”

Why, this is just terrible—it’s clearly a pattern of violence, even

worse, workplace violence.  It’s destruction of government property
and disrespect to a city official…more violence (and FAMILY violence
at that!), then advocacy of gambling.  Could it get any worse?

“I got an alimony payment that's 6 weeks over due.

Got caught with a trunk load of bootleg out-of-state booze.
Hocked my wife's diamond ring last June,
Bought me an outboard Evinrude,”

YES…even more perpetuation of the war on women, two instances in

fact…more nose thumbing at the government…advocacy for drunkenness…
and owning an outboard motor?  Why that’s horrible, luxury when
people are homeless.

Why, there is almost every ism in the book in this micro-aggressive

and offensive song that clearly advocates violence.  Moe Bandy and
Joe Stampley must be stopped at once…at least in the minds of many
of today’s millennial males and sad sack girlie men.

But you know what?  This song was incredibly popular when it came

out and is known as a CLASSIC today amongst real men and real women
because it is all about HAVING A GOOD TIME, something completely
lost to the hipsters, poofters, and girlie men of today.

And in the end, that’s what women really want in a man, a man who

knows how to have a good time, raise hell, and is totally unrepentant
about it.  I’ll take the Good Ole Boys anytime over today’s pathetic
excuses for males…and so will all the women I know.
