Declining and increasing assets

Only For Men Who Like Dirty Girls! >> How To Flip Her "Dirty Switch"

Hey Guys—

I have never been a strip club guy.  On average I go once a decade,

and during each visit it appears the patrons are more pathetic than
ever, and the dancers are dumber and fatter.

Perhaps it’s me getting grumpy with age, perhaps it’s me just not

liking the idea of being paid to be teased.  But one thing I always
noticed is this:  the declining assets of the crowd and the dancers.

In the NFL, players are declining assets as they reach the age of

30- they gain the mental skills to play the game, but the physical
skills decline (in most positions).  Same thing with dancers— their
physical traits decline with age, but their mental traits remain
unchanged, or sharpened only in a very narrow window (how to
extract more money from the audience).

Physical ability and health are prone to decline.  You can certainly

mitigate that decline by proper training and nutrition, but there
is still a gradual decline…physical ability is a declining asset,
much like a new car.

Mental ability, on the other hand, can go either way.  Most people

choose to do nothing with theirs, and it naturally declines.  They
have the same experiences over and over and over, they never read,
they never study, they never learn.  And so their brains decline
and they get and stay dumb.

This, however, is a choice.  When it comes to the asset of mental

ability, you can choose to turn it into an increasing asset or you
can let it become a declining asset.  You can figure out which is
the more attractive choice.

In this day and age of instant access to information, you have more

outlets to increase your mental assets, and more outlets to decrease
them.  You can go to Amazon and read, say, Gibbons Decline and Fall
of the Roman Empire, or you can go to YouTube and watch farting cat
videos.  Or you can do both, which, I confess to having done… a
little entertainment can put you in the mood to increase your mental
assets by serious reading.

But reading isn’t the only way to increase your mental assets.  So

is writing, story telling, interacting with other people, analyzing
data, solving math problems, going new places and doing new things.
It is easier than ever to do all of these, but most people choose
not to do so, choosing instead to let their mental assets decline.

Think of your mind as not only an asset, but an attractive asset.

Strive to increase its value every day, even a little bit.  If you
do so you will have a much more interesting life than the slugs who
mentally melt away into nothing.
