Changes to our Group Introducer Agreement

Dear Partner

Following legislative changes in 2017 and upcoming changes in May 2018, we have updated our Group Introducer Agreement to take account of these changes which are briefly detailed below:

Modern Slavery Act 2015

OneSavings Bank and its subsidiaries have obligations under the Modern Slavery Act and recognises that it has a responsibility to take a robust approach to slavery and human trafficking. We are absolutely committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking in our corporate activities, and to ensuring that our supply chains are free from slavery and human trafficking.

Criminal Finance Act 2017

The Criminal Finances Act created two new criminal offences committed when a relevant body (e.g. a bank) fails to prevent the criminal facilitation of tax evasion by its associated persons (e.g. brokers and/or borrowers). The rationale for the corporate offences is to make a business, including regulated businesses, accountable for their failing to prevent criminal acts of associated persons who intentionally facilitate tax evasion whilst providing a service for on its behalf.

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

GDPR contains new obligations for the processing of personal data.  These amendments have been prepared by our external solicitors to incorporate the required changes to the contractual relationship.

In addition to the above amendments, we will also be removing all direct payment routes. This means that in order to transact business with OneSavings Bank trading as Kent Reliance, Intermediary Partners must select a Mortgage Club, Network or Packager as a payment route.

We will be circulating the updated Group Introducer Agreement imminently.

The changes to the Group Introducer Agreement will take effect one month following the date this notice is sent (15 June 2018).

Please note, if you have a ‘Part B’ to your Group Introducer Agreement, those terms will not be affected by the update

For information about these changes, please contact Scott Phillips or Emily Machin. Their contact details can be found on our website.

Kind regards

Adrian Moloney
