François Hollande n'a que modérément apprécié le texte du chef d'état-major des armées, le général Pierre de Villiers publié hier dans Les Echos, qui réclamait davantage de moyens pour ses troupes. La France dispose des "ressources nécessaires" pour faire face à ses objectifs de Défense a rétorqué aujourd'hui le Chef de l'Etat- et des armées-à la sortie du Conseil des Ministres. Après les attentats en France, le gouvernement avait accordé une rallonge de 600 millions d'euros au budget de la Défense pour 2017. Bien en dessous de ce que réclame aujourd'hui le général de Villiers ( entre 4 et 6 milliards de plus sur un total annuel de 32 milliards) pour atteindre 2% du PIB contre 1,77% aujourd'hui.

Monte dei Paschi di Siena

Et l’on reparle de la plus ancienne banque au monde encore en activité, l’italienne Monte dei Paschi di Siena (BMPS), qui a perdu jusqu’à 19% en séance à Milan, lorsque les opérateurs ont appris que la trésorerie, pourtant forte de près de 11 milliards d’euros, pourrait être consommée dans les quatre prochains mois. L’annonce de l’adoption du plan d’aide aux banques par les députés italiens a permis à BMPS de remonter un peu la pente en journée. Mais il y a urgence, l’augmentation de capital lancée lundi et qui se termine demain rencontrant peu d’écho auprès des investisseurs. Le titre chute de près de 90% cette année.
