My 3 Favorite Rituals to Keep Me Sane & Instant Pot Live Cooking Demo

Hi Blue!

How are you? We've been very busy at Nom Nom Paleo world headquarters (a.k.a. our house) because cookbook #2, Ready or Not!, has finally been completed (it went to the printer last Friday).

Thank you so much to everyone who pre-ordered our cookbook last week! Because of your enthusiasm, Ready or Not! shot to number 4 in all books sold on Amazon. I am truly so grateful for all of you! (If this is the first time you've heard of cookbook #2, you can read more about it and pre-order here. We've included the complete recipe index as well!)

Besides wrapping up the cookbook, we've been working on a blog redesign and relaunch (it'll finally be rolled off of Tumblr very soon!), a nifty 2018 Ready or Not! companion wall calendar (complete with cute stickers!), and we're brainstorming topics for the second season of our podcast. Shoot me a reply with some podcast topics you want us to cover in future episodes!

Because life has been so hectic these past few weeks, I've implemented three rituals that have helped keep me sane: I do a 13-hour fast every night, I meditate for 10 minutes every morning, and our family commits to a regularly scheduled game or movie night on the weekend.

I've heard a lot about the benefits of fasting, but I don't want to do anything crazy—I just want to stop mindlessly eating at night. As a result, I downloaded the free Zero app and it reminds me to stop eating after dinner and resume eating 13 hours later. I also use apps to help with the meditation part—I like Calm and Headspace. (None of the companies mentioned in this email are sponsors or affiliates, I just mention them because I find them useful.)

On this week's regularly scheduled Wednesday Facebook Live cooking demo at 5 pm PST (8 pm EST) TOMORROW, I'll be showing you how to make my Instant Pot (Pressure Cooker) Chicken and Gravy recipe. Just tune in to my Facebook page at that time and you can see me live in my kitchen and ask questions while I cook. Just like in my previous Facebook Live demos, I'll be giving away something fun to 3 live viewers. (I don't know what the prizes will be yet, but they'll be cool I promise!)

Here's the step-by-step recipe on my blog: http://nom.gy/IPChicken

Pin it for later by clicking here.

(My current site doesn't cooperate well with Pinterest so follow me there and repin my pins!)

If you can't tune in live, no worries. I film a new Facebook Live video every Wednesday night and all of my Facebook Live videos are archived so you can watch them whenever you have time. Here's my latest video where I showed you how to make Sweet Potato & Cashew Dip and Tonnato Sauce: http://nom.gy/NNPFb47

Upcoming live events:

I'll announce upcoming event dates and locations soon because I'll have a bunch on the calendar when our next cookbook, Ready or Not!, releases on August 1st. In the meantime, the one event I'm most excited about is an amazing two-night Paleo retreat in beautiful Santa Cruz County this fall. You can read all the details and book a spot here: https://www.1440.org/program/the-paleo-experience/.

Have a wonderful rest of your week!

As always, thanks for being an awesome Nomster!

Michelle
