Two new BEET-iful recipes on Nom Nom Paleo!

Hey Blue!

Can you believe I posted TWO new recipes on the blog and in our app yesterday? Henry and I high-fived each other for getting our groove back. Now that our upcoming cookbook, Ready or Not!is at the printer we have more time to create new dishes for the blog and iPhone/iPad app again. We'll record a new podcast, too. Promise.

The two new recipes are beet-centric, so if you love beets, you're in luck:

Instant Pot Beetshttp://nom.gy/IPBeets

Beet Hummus (bean-free, Whole30-friendly, & vegan): http://nom.gy/NNPHummus

As a kid, I thought I hated beets, but that's 'cause I'd only eaten the mushy canned ones. When I begrudgingly tasted a pickled roasted beet salad in college, my mind was blown and I fell in love with the earthy sweet veggie. I don't even care that they stain my fingers and can change the color of other stuff (Er, hello, beeturia.) By the way, you can remove beet stains on your hands with baking soda!

If you still have questions on how to make Instant Pot Beets or Beet Hummus, tune in to this week's regularly scheduled Wednesday Facebook Live cooking demo at 5 pm Pacific (8 pm Eastern) TOMORROW!

Just like in my previous Facebook Live demos, I'll answer questions while I cook and three lucky viewers will win something cool. All you have to do to enter the giveaway is tune in to my Facebook page during my live broadcast and comment or ask a question!

If you can't tune in live, no worries! I film a new Facebook Live video every Wednesday and you can watch replays here. Last week, I showed folks how to make my Instant Pot Carnitas and the live video is embedded at the end of the post.

Upcoming appearances! We're releasing our new cookbook, Ready or Not!, and companion wall calendar this summer. As a result, I've got lots of fun live events coming up. The three appearances that are scheduled so far are:

Cooking demo and book signing at Sunset Celebration Weekend in Sonoma, California (May 20-21, 2017)! You can learn more and buy tickets here.

A book signing at Book People in Austin, TX, on August 25, 2017. More details coming soon!

A two-night Paleo Experience retreat with me and Dr. Akil Palanisamy at 1440 Multiversity in the Santa Cruz mountains this fall (October 6-8, 2017)! Learn more and book your spot before it sells out here! (From now until May 15th, use the discount code LOVE1440 to save 20%!)

As always, I love hearing from you guys so hit reply and send me a note!

Warmly,

Michelle
