Insert alt text here

Monday is Columbus Day, which means your inbox is about to be flooded with all-caps subject lines boasting major markdowns on this and that. To help sort through the madness, we collected a handful of good sales and picked out a few things you'll actually want to buy. Here they are, broken down by category.

Shoes

Aldo: Shop up to 50% off a large selection of boots — highlights include the brown stacked-heel Cathryn boots and the Ransome ankle boots, both for $70.

Need Supply Co: On-sale shoes include a bunch of Nike Roshe One Flyknits for under $100, several Jeffrey Campbell mules and pumps for $106, and the Rachel Comey Evry loafer for $276.

Outerwear

Mango: Up to 50% off select items for the brand's mid-season sale, including this great suede jacket for $99 and this lapel shift coat that comes in black and red (also for $99).

H&M: If you're in the market for it, this bright blue suede jacket is great, and on sale for $129, marked down from $299.

Denim

Urban Outfitters: The BDG Twig High-Rise Skinny Jean (in indigo) is marked down to just $29.99 in sizes 28 through 32, and the BDG Twig Button High-Rise Skinny Jean (in light blue) is also $29,99, in sizes 26 through 32.

Gap: There's a wide selection of maternity jeans on sale, including a bunch that are marked down to just $19.99, like the Demi Panel Crop Kick.

Levi's: Take 40% off the entire site through October 11th with the code SECRET40. This, of course, includes a huge selection of jeans (but excludes vintage).

Sweaters

Everlane: Not technically a sale, but prices on the crew cashmere sweater — which comes in black, royal blue, heather gray, charcoal, and more — are now just $100.

The Outnet: Shop a solid selection of under-$200 sweaters from Equipment, Autumn Cashmere, Alice + Olivia, Line, Iris and Ink, and more. This grey knit Theory sweater is on sale for $168, and this ribbed olive Equipment sweater is on sale for $115.

Underwear

Shopbop: A big selection of Calvin Klein underwear is marked down 25% off. The seamless logo bra is $31.50, and the matching thong is $16.50. Plus, cotton briefs are just $9.

Journelle: This super cute black Noe jumper is on sale for $82 (from $165), and this simple black Fantasie of England bra is marked down to $30 for sizes 30DD, 38FF, 38G, 30GG, and 32GG.

Men's

Rag & Bone: There's a 25% discount sitewide (and in stores) through October 10th, with the code OCTOBER25. Use it to shop a ton of fall and winter jackets, like the Reversible Manston Jacket, which normally retails for $895.

Opening Ceremony: Current highlights in the sale section include the Our Legacy light denim jacket for $249 and terry short-sleeve button-downs, for $135.

East Dane: New sale arrivals include Simon Miller jeans for $245 and Reigning Champ hoodies ($144) and crew sweatshirts ($128), both in navy.

Sunglasses to Buy (And Actually Wear) for Fall

Just because summer has come to an end doesn’t mean you have to say goodbye to sunglasses. The only difference in shopping for a new pair now is that you’d be best off sticking to classic shapes and styles in seasonal hues and accents, like speckled brown and deep burgundy.

To help find the best pairs, we asked Le Specs Creative Director Hamish Tame to help weigh in on this season’s five biggest styles.
