Women's Ministry Kick-Off Event, New Winter EQUIP Classes, New Year's Eve Celebration

RGBC men, join the men of LBC at Golden Corral tomorrow, Saturday, December 12 at 8am for food and fellowship!

The Polk home group will be leading a group to go caroling in a neighborhood around KCA. If you are interested in joining them, meet at the Church office at 5:30 tomorrow, Saturday, December 12. All are invited to attend and bless our community!

This Sunday during the EQUIP hour (9-10am), there will be no regular EQUIP classes for adults. They 
will be gathering in the sanctuary for a corporate time of prayer. Children and youth classes will meet as usual.

The offering will take place throughout the month of December. Our RGBC Giving Goal is $7,500. Our current total is: $2295. Start praying & planning now to give so that the International Mission Board can help churches send missionaries to the billions who have yet to hear the Good News! Also, please pick up a prayer calendar for 2016 at the Ministry Connection Table and commit to pray for the lost peoples.

The Women's ministry will be having its kick-off on Sunday, January 3 following the morning worship service.  Mark your calendars now to come out and learn more about this ministry and how you can be a part of it.  The theme for this kick-off will be "Souper Sunday" and it will involve a lunch! This Sunday, December 13, will be the last day to sign up.  Sign up to let us know that you are coming and what you can bring to make our first official women's activity a "SOUPER" time! Hope to see you all then!  If you have questions please see one of the members of the women's committee or contact Amy Morris. 

Please pick up your envelopes at the Ministry Connection. If you don't see your name (1 per family) please sign up on the list provided and take a box.

Youth will be meeting this Sunday, December 6. Parents are invited to attend a meeting at 6pm to discuss the future of the youth ministry.

RGBC youth: join us on December 20 for the Youth Christmas Party. There will be games and a gift exchange in the small groups. Bring a wrapped gift worth no more than $5 and a treat to share!


Join us for an action-packed, spiritually challenging, all-inclusive weekend adventure for grades 7-12 at Winter Meltdown at River Valley Ranch. January 29-31 and the total cost is $100. A non-refundable $25 deposit is due by December 20. The cost includes: food & lodging for the weekend, transportation to and from RVR, a zip line, paintball, horseback riding, Rob Stanbury as our speaker, and a worship band. Click here to register:


Beginning January 3, there will be three new EQUIP classes offered during the EQUIP time (9-10am) on Sundays. Sign ups will be available at the Ministry Connection on Sunday or you can sign up online:
Classes will be:

  1. Baptist Essentials (6 weeks) led by Pastor Adam Polk & Meeting With God (6 weeks) led by Bob Davies
  2. The Gospels led by Trey Mangan & John Keeler
  3. Women Discipling Women led by Christine Trent

The sermon series during this Advent season is entitled "Light in the Shadows." It will explore passages of Scripture that foreshadow the coming of Christ. This week's title is "The Promised Mediator."

Join us on December 31 at KCA beginning at 7pm for food, fellowship & fun! We will end the evening with a Communion service at 12am. Sign up this Sunday to attend and bring food! Stay tuned for more details!

Mark your calendars for a marriage conference hosted jointly by RGBC & LBC: "The Mingling of Souls Conference with Matt & Lauren Chandler." It will take place at Leonardtown Baptist Church on Friday, February 19 & Saturday, February 20 and cost $20 per couple. Registration information and invitation cards will be available soon!

If you have not been a part of a Home Group, you are encouraged to join one! You can sign up for a Home Group online here. There will be seven Home Groups to choose from for the new ministry year. They are:


Do you consider yourself a prayer warrior? Do you enjoy praying for others' needs? We will be launching a new team of individuals who will be praying for the needs of our congregation. If you would like to be part of this team and truly commit to pray for the needs that are sent, please contact the Church office. All prayer requests will be emailed to each Prayer Warrior Team Member, so please include the email that you would want those requests sent to. The Prayer Team will each pray individually so there aren't any meetings to attend! Prayerfully consider joining this team to support our congregation through prayer.
