There will be a brief summer study for college aged/young adults beginning THIS SUNDAY, June 28 during the EQUIP hour (9-10am). The topic will be "Life on Mission: A Simple Way to Share the Gospel." Learn how to live a missional lifestyle from prominent pastors and authors who live it themselves. The class will last for five weeks. The class will meet in the KCA Main Office and will be led by Aaron Traver. Please sign up at the Ministry Connection Table if you will attend this study!

EXPLORE is a bi-monthly event that enables newcomers to RGBC to learn more about our church. At EXPLORE we will share a brief history of our church, give an overview of various ministries and explain our membership process. It's also a great opportunity to interact with other church members and ask individual questions you might have. Our next EXPLORE event will be THIS Sunday, June 28 after the worship service at KCA. A meal and childcare will be provided. You can RSVP to this event via our website:

A new EQUIP class will begin on July 5. The study will be a church-wide study using the book, "The Peacemaker" by Ken Sande. The class will meet in the Sanctuary and will be led by the elders. Please sign up at the Ministry Connection if you would like a book to be ordered for you by the church office. The book will cost $11 and the money can be given to Amy Gass in the form of check made out to RGBC or exact cash. The
deadline to sign up for a book is THIS Sunday, June 28.

We will be moving to our new offices NEXT WEEK! If anyone is able to help with packing and moving on Wednesday, July 1 and Thursday, July 2, please contact the Church office or just stop by! We could use all the help we can get!

Through the month of June, we will be raising funds for RGBC folks that will be attending short-term mission trips. The Short-Term Missions Fund Designated Account was established to support various teams and individuals from RGBC. During June, we are asking you to prayerfully consider making a donation to this Account to support those that have applied for scholarships for mission trips. Envelopes will be available at the Ministry Connection or you can write "Mission Scholarship" on your tithing envelope with the amount.

From July 15-25 our team will be helping with an English for a New Life Camp in Moldova and they need our help to gather supplies for the camp. Please pick up a list at the Ministry Connection this Sunday and bring in an item or two to church or to the church office between June 21 and July 5. Please see Amy Morris with any questions. A prayer guide will also be available at the Ministry Connection this Sunday.

Our summer Home Groups will be starting new studies beginning the week of June 22. If you are not part of a home group currently, this would be a great time to join! Our groups are always open to new attendees! Please see below or the website for the location and times of the groups that meet. This is a great way to become connected and involved at RGBC. If you have further questions, contact David Morris at

Do you consider yourself a prayer warrior? Do you enjoy praying for others' needs? We will be launching a new team of individuals who will be praying for the needs of our congregation. If you would like to be part of this team and truly commit to pray for the needs that are sent, please contact the Church office. All prayer requests will be emailed to each Prayer Warrior Team Member, so please include the email that you would want those requests sent to. The Prayer Team will each pray individually so there aren't any meetings to attend! Prayerfully consider joining this team to support our congregation through prayer.

Visit our new volunteer page on our website and see how you can get plugged in at RGBC! See a list of volunteer opportunities, position descriptions and fill out the form on the website:

Along with committing to pray as a church family, we will be taking up a "Reunite the Gibbs" love offering at RGBC on Sundays July 12 and July 19. Please prayerfully consider giving to help them with ongoing legal and other general needs. If you would like to give immediately you can do so at the following link: We will also have a special time of prayer on July 19th for their family regarding their court date on July 22.

RGBC Children's Ministry is organizing a Parent's Night Out on Saturday, July 25 from 6-9pm at KCA. This is an opportunity for parents to have an evening to themselves or a double date with non-believers. It's also an opportunity to have a fun evening to get to know the children in our church as they are looking for many volunteers to help. The ages will be from 6 months to 5th grade and the price is $5 per child or a max of $15 per family. The event will include games, snacks, craft time, Bible story and a kid-friendly movie. Get the word out to your friends outside of RGBC as well and make this an outreach opportunity! Informational flyers will be available at the Ministry Connection this Sunday. You can register your child(ren) on our website: If you are interested in helping, please contact Cortney Dykes at

Chuck Swindoll wrote, “I know of no other single practice in the Christian life more rewarding, practically speaking, than memorizing Scripture. . . . No other single exercise pays greater spiritual dividends! Your prayer life will be strengthened. Your witnessing will be sharper and much more effective. Your attitudes and outlook will begin to change. Your mind will become alert and observant. Your confidence and assurance will be enhanced. Your faith will be solidified.” (Growing Strong in the Seasons of Life [Grand Rapids: Zondervan, 1994], p. 61).

The verse to be memorized for this week:

Galatians 6:9-10
"And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith."
