Please be in prayer for our Baltimore Mission Team that is serving through Sunday, July 12. Our Baltimore team ready to serve:

We will be taking up a "Reunite the Gibbs" love offering at RGBC THIS Sunday July 12 and July 19. Please prayerfully consider giving to help them with ongoing legal and other general needs. Checks can be made out to RGBC but the gifts will not tax deductible. If you would like to give immediately you can do so at the following link: We will have a special time of prayer on July 19th for their family regarding their court date on July 22. There is also the opportunity to sign up to pray for the Gibbs in a 24hour prayer vigil. You can sign up at the Ministry Connection to help cover this family in prayer!

There are two studies going on during our EQUIP hour (9-10am):
Young Adults/College Aged: "Life on Mission: A Simple Way to Share the Gospel." Learn how to live a missional lifestyle from prominent pastors and authors who live it themselves.  The class will meet in the KCA Main Office and will be led by Aaron Traver.
EQUIP Study: "The Peacemaker" by Ken Sande. This class will meet in the sanctuary and will be led by the elders. Books are in so if you ordered a book, please be sure to bring your $11 to class on Sunday. There will be a few extra books for those who did not order one.

This Sunday, July 12, will kick off the summer Sunday evening youth group session at 6pm at KCA! They will be looking at a video series by Pastor David Platt entitled "Counter Culture." Rising 6th graders and recent 2015 grads are invited to this summer series.

We have moved our offices to another part of the Chesapeake Charter School building. Our address will still be: 20945 Great Mills Rd. Suite 101, Lexington Park, MD 20653.

From July 15-25 our team will be helping with an English for a New Life Camp in Moldova. They are still in need of 5 suitcases to transport the donated supplies. Please contact the church office if you can bring a suitcase to church this Sunday, July 5. Please also pick up a prayer guide at the Ministry Connection this Sunday or you can download it here. Our Moldova Team:

Pastor Allen Acker, Megan Acker, Sammy Morris, Christalyn Doig, Riley Walsh (LBC), Amy Morris, David Walsh (LBC)

Do you consider yourself a prayer warrior? Do you enjoy praying for others' needs? We will be launching a new team of individuals who will be praying for the needs of our congregation. If you would like to be part of this team and truly commit to pray for the needs that are sent, please contact the Church office. All prayer requests will be emailed to each Prayer Warrior Team Member, so please include the email that you would want those requests sent to. The Prayer Team will each pray individually so there aren't any meetings to attend! Prayerfully consider joining this team to support our congregation through prayer.

Visit our new volunteer page on our website and see how you can get plugged in at RGBC! See a list of volunteer opportunities, position descriptions and fill out the form on the website:

RGBC Children's Ministry is organizing a Parent's Night Out on Saturday, July 25 from 6-9pm at KCA. This is an opportunity for parents to have an evening to themselves or a double date with non-believers. It's also an opportunity to have a fun evening to get to know the children in our church as they are looking for many volunteers to help. The ages will be from 6 months to 5th grade and the price is $5 per child or a max of $15 per family. The event will include games, snacks, craft time, Bible story and a kid-friendly movie. Get the word out to your friends outside of RGBC as well and make this an outreach opportunity! Informational flyers will be available at the Ministry Connection this Sunday. You can register your child(ren) on our website: If you are interested in helping, please contact Cortney Dykes at

Everyone who serves in RGBC children’s ministries (Birth-5th grade, including Nursery, CBFs, and Jr. Church) is required to attend a training session as we prepare for the new ministry year.  Training will be held at Leonardtown Baptist Church on August 3 and 10 at 6:30pm and will include an overview of our child security policies, along with ministry-specific breakout sessions. Chuck Swindoll wrote, “I know of no other single practice in the Christian life more rewarding, practically speaking, than memorizing Scripture. . . . No other single exercise pays greater spiritual dividends! Your prayer life will be strengthened. Your witnessing will be sharper and much more effective. Your attitudes and outlook will begin to change. Your mind will become alert and observant. Your confidence and assurance will be enhanced. Your faith will be solidified.” (Growing Strong in the Seasons of Life [Grand Rapids: Zondervan, 1994], p. 61).

The verse to be memorized for this week:

Psalm 34:4-5
"I sought the Lord and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed."
