Children’s Church will be going to twice a month - The 2nd and 4th Sundays of every month.  The next Children’s Church will be this Sunday and then again on September 24th. If anyone would like to volunteer to be a teacher, 2 spots are still needed.  

We will be offering policy training for all new child/youth volunteers during the EQUIP hour (9-10am) Sunday, September 17. Contact Marsha Rhoton with any questions or to RSVP.

We will be offering nursery worker training for all nursery volunteers during the EQUIP hour (9-10am) Sunday, September 24. Contact Dena Bell with any questions or to RSVP.

All ladies are invited to attend the weekday Bible study this Fall hosted by Teri Spinnenweber and Misha Hash.  They will be studying 2 Corinthians using the Bible study by Kelly Minter entitled All Things New.  The group will meet at Teri's every other Wednesday morning from 9:30 am - 11 am beginning September 20.  The book/workbook is available on Amazon or Lifeway.  Each week the group will view a short DVD teaching by Kelly Minter and discuss the chapter.  Childcare is available for any Moms who attend.  This study is not limited to Moms.  Please contact Misha ( or Teri ( for more information.

The RGBC elders have nominated Steven Mason to become an elder. You can find more information about Steven at the Ministry Connection. Please contact an elder with any questions. Members will vote on the elder nomination at the next Members’ Meeting on September 24.

Please plan to join us for our Fall Cookout after the service on Sunday, October 8th! Each family will need to bring a prepared meat or main dish for their family, and a side dish and dessert to share. Remember to label all utensils and dishes that you bring. Also, bring your own lawn chairs or blankets.

Paper products, condiments, and drinks will be provided. We will have several grilling masters bringing their own grills and utensils, and they are willing to grill that day.  Don’t miss this opportunity connect with the church family and friends! Please sign up at the Ministry Connection.

Join us September 21-24 as we serve at the Fair this year serving the community by cleaning tables in the food court. Sign ups are available at the  Ministry Connection. Table Cleaning will be in two hour increments Thursday evening through Sunday afternoon. Contact Ken Mansfield with questions.

We will be providing the main course for Intervarisity's Progressive Dinner on September 22, 5:30-8PM. This will be a time to serve local college students and help encourage them to get plugged in to a local church. Sign up to supply a food item here!

We will be serving food, helping with games and prizes on September 29, 4:45-7:15PM. Contact Ken Mansfield with questions.

The Potomac Baptist Association has set up TWO collection centers to receive NEW items for victims of Hurricane Harvey. Your donations will be taken to The Baptist Mission Resource Center in Columbia, MD, where it will be added to other donations from around Maryland and Delaware. From there, all donations will be transported to Fredonia Hill Baptist Church in Nacogdoches, Texas.

Like items will need to be boxed together, except for the water. If you have boxes at home, please consider boxing up your items and/or donating boxes to the donation center you will be using. If you would like to donate, please deliver your donations to Leonardtown Baptist Church during office hours through Thursday, September 28, 2017.

The children's Equip classes are working to memorize 24 questions from the New City Catechism. Copies of the book are available from Jeremy Rhoton if you wish to join in the memorizing. Here is a review of the question and answer from last week.
