RGBC FALL COOKOUT RESCHEDULED

Due to a rainy forecast, our Fall Cookout has been rescheduled to after the service this Sunday, October 22nd! Each family will still need to bring a prepared meat or main dish for their family, and a side dish and dessert to share. Remember to label all utensils and dishes that you bring. Also, bring your own lawn chairs or blankets.

Paper products, condiments, and drinks will be provided. We will have several grilling masters bringing their own grills and utensils, and they are willing to grill that day.  Don’t miss this opportunity connect with the church family and friends!

CHURCH DIRECTORY
The 2017 Church Directory will be available at the Ministry Connection on Sunday. Please limit to one per family. This is a great opportunity to be praying for our church and building connections outside of Sunday services.

PARENTING SEMINAR
Cornerstone Presbyterian Church is hosting the second part of their Parenting Seminar tonight from 7-9:30PM. They will be presenting Paul Tripps' "Gospel Principles that Can Radically Change Your Family". You can find more information or RSVP for the event on their website.  

CHILDREN’S CHURCH 
Children’s Church is now twice a month - The 2nd and 4th Sundays of every month.  The next Children’s Church will be Sunday, October 22. If anyone would like to volunteer to be a teacher, 2 spots are still needed. 

EXPLORE CLASS
If you are new to RGBC, you are invited to attend the next Explore Class to learn more about RGBC! Lunch will be provided and childcare is available upon request. The next Explore Class is this Sunday, October 15 after the service. Sign up at the Ministry Connection.

REFORMATION CELEBRATION
We will be celebrating the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation on Sunday, October 29 at 6pm at KCA. We will be watching a movie entitled "Luther: The Life and Legacy of the German Reformer". There will also be a kid's movie about the Reformation playing at the same time.

Hosted by Leonardtown Baptist Church, we'll gather with LBC, LPBC, and SCBC on Friday night, Saturday morning, and Saturday evening, for large group worship.  In between, you'll hang with your small group, staying over night at a host home (Fri and Sat night).  This is always one of the students' favorite events of the year.  Open to all students, grades 6-12.  Registration includes a T-shirt.

For off-line payment (check or cash, $40), select the "Offline" option on the registration page (it says "Free" but that just makes it skip the online payment form).

To register more than one student at a time, include the number of additional students after the first in the "Guest" block.  (E.g., to register 3 total students, put '2' in the Guest block)

WRAPPING ARMS 'ROUND MANY

Redeeming Grace is teaming up with Leonardtown Baptist Church to serve our community through WARM November 19-26th. There are many opportunities to serve by providing meals and shelter for some of our homeless population.  Sign up at the Ministry Connection.  Please be praying about how you can serve. The children's Equip classes are working to memorize 24 questions from the New City Catechism. Copies of the book are available from Jeremy Rhoton if you wish to join in the memorizing. Here is a review of the question and answer from last week.

  • Claudia Wortman - It is with a heavy yet hope-filled heart to pass on the news that Claudia Wortman passed from this life into the presence of Jesus just before noon on Wednesday, October 11.  Please do keep Dave in your prayers during this time.  May God grant a peace that can only come from Him and a hope that is based on the sure promises of our great God.
