Please pick up your 2018 giving envelopes at the Ministry Connection. If you did not sign up for giving envelopes but would still like to receive some, contact the church office

We would also like to encourage everyone to double check their envelopes and checks before they give every Sunday. Any errors may result in the inability to properly account for your giving.

Starting in 1888, the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering was established to empower the international missions efforts for Southern Baptists. Your giving enables missionaries to be sent to make disciples and multiply churches among unreached peoples and places for the glory of God. We have currently raised $1,775 of our church's 2017 goal of $7,500. Find more information about Lottie Moon and the IMB in the Ministry Partner Prayer Spotlight below. You can also find prayer guides and giving envelopes at the Ministry Connection on Sunday.

Q: Why is it necessary for Christ, the Redeemer, to die?
A: Christ died willingly in our place to deliver us from the power and penalty of sin and bring us back to God.

The 2017 Lottie Moon Christmas Offering is this month. We can also be praying for these partners in ministry. You can follow the Lottie Moon Week of Prayer guide on their website.

Also, IMB President David Platt has some tips in praying for missionaries. It isn’t just a rushed or mechanical exercise, he said—”God has ordained our prayer as a means to accomplish His purpose in the world. We’ve got to be aware that our praying for boldness for missionaries is actually going to affect whether or not they have boldness. When we pray, God works.”
He offered some real and powerful ways to pray for missionaries:

  1. PRAY they would be confident to preach God’s Word—not just to do relief work or learn culture well, but to speak truth with boldness, no matter the circumstances.
  2. PRAY the gospel would be clear through missionaries’ lives and words and that God would open hearts.
  3. PRAY missionaries will be at peace with other believers, that Satan would not have success in attacking families, friends and ministry partners.
  4. PRAY for them to have joy when they suffer, kindness when they are slandered and patience when things are hard. Pray for God to help them persevere—fighting the battle for souls is hard, but it’s worth it.
  5. PRAY God would give them success in sharing the gospel with others, that they would see disciples made and churches planted.
