Editor's Letter

NaNoWriMo is underway. Good luck to all my writing friends who get this newsletter and are participating. Feeling good so far? When you type that 50,000th word, you'll be feeling good. (Tired, but good.) Trust me.

In other news, Friday is the final deadline to enter the Writer's Digest Popular Fiction Awards. There are six categories, so there are more opportunities to enter against others writers who write in the same category as you! The categories are: Romance, Thriller, Crime, Horror, Science-Fiction, and Young Adult. The top prize is $2,500 and a paid trip to the 2016 Writer's Digest Conference (we could meet in person!) and to be interviewed by Writer's Digest. Enter before the deadline of November 6 comes by clicking here for more details.

Also, I've been asked to be the keynote speaker at next year's WRITE NOW! Conference in Raleigh, NC. If you live around that area, come on out next April and check it out.

Take care of yourself and your writing,

wd-logoGet Your First 10 Pages Critiqued by an Agent BOOT CAMP
In this invaluable weekend event, you'll get to work with an agent online to review and refine the first ten pages of your novel. You'll learn what keeps an agent reading, what are the most common mistakes that make them stop, and the steps you need to take to correct them. The best part is that you'll be working directly with an agent, who will provide feedback specific to your work.
