Imagining the Future
We don't yet have a lot of details to share about the space on Becton Plaza that will be designed and built to house Tsai CITY, but that hasn't stopped us from thinking about how it will be incorporated into the Yale ecosystem in a way that will highlight our creativity and openness for all Yale students.
We asked Yale CS Professor Julie Dorsey, founder of the 2D to 3D graphical-media-design company Mental Canvas if she and her team could create a sketch that would help build excitement for the space to come. We think you'll agree, the results are spectacular. Julie also answered questions about her inspiration,
process and how she encourages innovative thinking in students for our blog - enjoy!
Q&A with Julie Dorsey: Yale Faculty Founder of Mental Canvas
"Innovative thinking is fundamental to a liberal arts education, whether you’re majoring in architecture or engineering or philosophy. I am excited about the prospect of a center that fosters this important skill located so close to Computer Science and other Engineering Departments and the maker culture and facilities of the CEID."
