For first time ever, Whiffs admit a woman

The world’s oldest collegiate a cappella group is no longer an all-male show. In the early hours of Tuesday morning, Sofía Campoamor ’19 became the first female singer ever admitted to the Whiffenpoofs.

That’s the voice of Sofía Campoamor ’19, the first woman admitted to the Whiffenpoofs, the world’s oldest collegiate a cappella group, in the words of a fellow member of her tap class, Emil Beckford ’19.


DKE to resume social activities

After getting the green light from the Delta Kappa Epsilon national organization last week, DKE’s Yale chapter plans to resume social activities and rush events in a little over two weeks, even after the News on Tuesday reported new allegations of sexual misconduct against the fraternity.
